Recently, CITIC Securities released a research report stating that U.S. President Trump and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin are performing a duet here, with one playing the 'bad cop' and the other the 'good cop', fooling the market around and around.

Look at Trump's mouth; he often makes loud declarations, and every time he speaks, the market shivers. Mnuchin is different; he specializes in damage control. Whenever Trump scares the market, he quickly steps in to say nice things to reassure everyone. These two work together quite harmoniously, like a comedy duo.

Specifically, in several major events, this is the routine:

1. Regarding the Section 899 issue, Trump said he wanted to stir things up, and the market immediately panicked. Mnuchin quickly came out to say that Congress should scrap this provision, and only then did the market stabilize.

2. In the U.S.-Japan tariff negotiations, Trump threatened to raise taxes, and Mnuchin immediately jumped in to say, 'Don’t worry, we can definitely reach an agreement,' reassuring the market.

3. The funniest part is with Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. Trump has been shouting every day about firing him, while Mnuchin is there advising, 'Boss, calm down,' which saved Powell's job.

Now, people on Wall Street call Mnuchin 'Trump's mouthpiece.' Whenever he speaks, everyone pricks up their ears to listen. It is said that whenever he makes a statement, it might be a good time for a 'TACO trade.' What this TACO trade is, we don't really understand; it’s probably some advanced operation by those folks on Wall Street.

In my opinion, American politics is like a grand performance. Trump is responsible for creating stimulating plots, and Mnuchin is in charge of smoothing things over. One is setting fires in front, while the other is putting them out from behind. However, this routine works quite well; at least it has stabilized the U.S. stock market and the cryptocurrency market. You see, even though the U.S. stock market and the crypto market often have their ups and downs, at least they haven't crashed, right?

We bystanders can just enjoy the show; they perform their act while we do our thing. It’s just tough for us who trade in U.S. stocks and crypto, as we have to keep a close watch on these two's words, fearing we might miss any signs of change. 😭
