Protect your principal, don't let a bull market turn into a graveyard
Recently, many people have been getting restless watching the altcoin rotations, with some cryptocurrencies experiencing several large upward movements. Especially after certain domestic hot coins skyrocketed, the atmosphere in centralized exchanges (CEX) has clearly become heated.
But I want to remind you:
A bull market is where you can really lose big money.
This is not a joke—during a bull market, you will experience FOMO (fear of missing out), fearing to miss the opportunity, chasing the price moves; you may leverage heavily when the price is rising the most, thinking “let's push a bit more”; you may hold on without setting stop-losses, fantasizing that “it will come back”.
When the market is good, it’s fine to engage during rises, but please remember: execution and risk control are the fundamentals for your survival.
You can chase, but you must set stop-losses for every trade;
You can speculate, but you need to clearly understand the liquidation price for each position, recognizing that if it hits, it’s a stop-loss, no turning back;
You can play with emotions, but you cannot be played by them.
True experts are not the ones who catch every leading coin, but those who can run when they are wrong, eat when they are right, and survive long enough until the next trend arrives.
Don’t let the market cloud your judgment; a bull market is a time for harvest, not a time for you to lose all your principal and end up with a total loss.
Protect yourself, it’s not about being conservative, but about being clear-headed.
