Lagrange Coprocessor is an architecture of "off-chain execution, on-chain verification." What does this mean? It means that you no longer need the chain to compute AI results, simulate logic, or verify cross-chain data by itself; you just need someone to do the calculations off-chain and provide a STARK proof. The chain only verifies the proof, which is fast and cheap.
This makes many applications that were originally unable to go on-chain—such as game logic, data queries, and IoT information flows—become feasible.
LA is the driving force behind the entire mechanism:
• Nodes need to stake LA to take on tasks
• Task submitters pay fees with LA
• If a node submits an incorrect proof or fails to fulfill its obligations, LA will be confiscated
• The system will destroy part of the LA, creating a deflationary effect
Lagrange provides the chain with a "trustworthy external brain," and LA is the blood that powers this brain.
