I used to think that wallet connection was just scanning a code, but now it seems that it is the entry point to Web3. Recently, I saw some DAOs using WalletConnect to simplify the voting process, allowing wallet authorization and signing directly on the proposal page, saving a lot of troublesome redirections. Imagine in the future, participating in various DeFi activities without having to copy and paste addresses, just one button can do it all, that is true user-friendliness.
