BIT FRANCE 🇨🇵

France is considering using its electricity surplus, largely coming from the national nuclear grid, to power Bitcoin mining activities. The plan, presented on July 11, outlines a 5-year pilot project with a clear objective: to turn unused energy into profit.

According to estimates, just one gigawatt of excess power could generate up to 150 million dollars a year.

If France decides to pursue this path, the mining farms would not only help to utilize excess energy but could also become an energy resource for nearby communities, making mining not just a speculative activity but an integral part of the circular economy and smart resource management.

If the plan receives the green light, the pilot project will start in Brittany, with an expected duration of up to five years.

Long live Bitcoin!
