Project Background
Yala is a Bitcoin-native liquidity protocol designed to allow Bitcoin holders to earn real yields from DeFi and RWA (real-world assets) without giving up asset ownership. Yala's core product is $YU, a Bitcoin-collateralized stablecoin soft-pegged to the US dollar. Yala is dedicated to building a decentralized, Bitcoin-backed liquidity system that is scalable, secure, and self-sustaining.
Yala's vision is to create a Bitcoin yield standard that allows Bitcoin to enter the trillion-dollar RWA market without sacrificing sovereignty through a trust-minimized architecture. The three pillars of Yala are: security (Bitcoin remains on the Bitcoin blockchain), institutional-grade access (access to professionally managed RWA yield opportunities), and transparent risk management (all strategies have verifiable collateral and auditable performance).
Funding Situation
Yala completed an $8 million seed round financing on October 10, 2024, co-led by Polychain Capital and Ethereal Ventures. Other notable participating investors include Galaxy Vision Hill, Anagram, Amber Group, ABCDE, Ambush Capital, and others. This financing will be used for team expansion, product development, and security auditing.
