Farhan Najeeb, a 28-year-old freelance graphic designer from Hyderabad, was looking for ways to earn extra income from home. One day, he was scrolling through a social media platform when he came across an ad that read:
> “Rent your verified LinkedIn account and earn ₹25,000 every month — no work required!”
Farhan was skeptical at first, but the ad made everything look legit and safe. He contacted the advertiser, who assured him that verified LinkedIn profiles are only used to gain the trust of international clients. He was told that your account would be used only for “communication,” and there would be no illegal activity.
After a few days of conversation, Farhan provided his LinkedIn login, email account, and identification documents. The first month, he received the promised ₹25,000. Everything seemed normal.
But the second month, his LinkedIn account suddenly got suspended. When he tried to log in, the system said that the account had been permanently suspended due to suspicious activity. Attempts were made to contact the person again, but he had disappeared.
