Reported in July 18, the Financial Times said the president Trump is expected to sign an executive order as soon as this week.
If realized, this would be a significant turning point in the U.S., as federal and state pension funds have traditionally only been permitted to invest in bonds and large stocks. As of March 2025, these funds manage a colossal asset base of $8.7 trillion.
But the White House said in the statement, "No Decisions should be deemed official, unless they come from President Trump himself."

According to the CoinTelegraph article, in last November, the UK based pension specialist Cartwright reported that a UK Pension scheme had chosen to make Bitcoin allocation. Meanwhile, Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund was also considering Bitcoin as a potential diversification tool in March last year.
What would be the impact if the president sign the bill in coming days. The market is already bullish, trading values will be up. It will also open up opportunities for private capital groups to further their growth on investing money on behalf of ordinary retirement savings. It will inject more capital to crypto market.
