Ethereum Now at the Center of BTCT's Digital Reserve Strategy

BTC Digital has started converting all existing and upcoming Bitcoin reserves into Ethereum. The company confirmed the addition of a $1 million ETH position following the financing. According to CEO Siguang Peng, Ethereum offers a scalable platform ideal for smart contract innovation, real-world asset tokenization, and decentralized finance development.

"Ethereum has emerged as the premier platform for decentralized finance, real‑world asset tokenization, and scalable smart‑contract innovation," Peng stated.

As a part of its revised roadmap, BTCT aims to grow its ETH reserves to "tens of millions of dollars" before the year ends. The company will use the fresh capital to accelerate ETH acquisition and reallocate its long-term digital strategy around Ethereum. This decision also aligns BTCT with other publicly traded companies like BMNR, SBET, and BTBT, which have similarly adopted Ethereum.

Yield-Driven Roadmap: From Mining to On-Chain Finance

BTCT intends to launch an ETH staking program to help the Ethereum network and earn staking rewards periodically. These rewards will be reinvested into our reserve pool for sustained long-term value and financial stability.

They also have plans to operate with DeFi, stablecoins, and Real-World Assets (RWA). This is an extension slowly away from mining and towards a digital-asset economic model, with more on-chain productivity and staking revenue generation.

Peng added, “We are positioning BTCT at the forefront of next‑generation on‑chain finance… this pivot enables us to participate directly in staking, DeFi protocols, RWA initiatives, and other leading Ethereum‑based opportunities.”

Strategic Participation Across the Ethereum Ecosystem

BTCT's updated business model includes building ETH-backed yield pools and forming ecosystem alliances. The company also intends to develop stablecoin reserves and cross-chain settlement infrastructure using Ethereum's technology.

The firm emphasized a new direction focused on producing value through Ethereum-based integrations and partnerships. Initiatives will include deploying ETH across DeFi, NFT, and Layer-2 networks to enhance utility and financial returns.

By redefining its digital asset reserves, BTCT is positioning itself to evolve into a more diversified and yield-driven blockchain operator centered around Ethereum.
