In 2021, an unknown hacker breached the Poly Network and stole over 600 million dollars in cryptocurrencies… 😱
But instead of escaping or laundering the money like any respectable hacker… 😂
🎭 This hacker decided to turn into the "Robin Hood of the digital age"… and returned the money himself!
🔍 And the strange details:
🕵️♂️ After the breach, security teams tracked him through the blockchain (not very smart, my friend).
🧾 The Poly team sent him a message saying: "We ask you to return the money... we know who you are!". Keep in mind that they didn’t actually know him, but the message was to confuse the hacker 🤣🤣
😅 The hacker got scared and said: "I was just testing the system… I wanted to see the vulnerabilities!"
🎁 And he returned all the money… and was awarded a bonus of 500,000 dollars and was named "White Hat Hacker".
😆 Imagine stealing 600 million… and returning it all… and getting a reward of less than 0.1%!
