Having been in the crypto space for 8 years, there is one thing I always insist on:

Don't talk about heat; look at 'capital and narrative' to decide positions.

This wave of the bull market has already started, with BTC and ETH leading the surge, various chains, L2, meme, RWA... all sorts of sectors are being speculated in rotation. But the hardest part is not 'selecting coins', but selecting sectors and timing.

— Where is the main capital going? The narrative is appealing and has real traffic, that is the direction to bet on.

In this article, I will explain how to accurately judge the main flow direction and real hot sectors in a bull market, so you won't be confused by noise.

1. The essence of a bull market is the resonance of 'narrative + capital'. A bull market does not mean 'all coins rise'.

The ones that rise the most must be: narrative accepted + real money entering + KOLs all hyping those few tracks.

The past few cycles have followed the same script:

1. Cycle: 2017, Exploding sector: ETH + ICO, Essential logic: Release means financing narrative ignition

2. Cycle: 2020, Exploding sector: DeFi, Summer, Essential logic: Decentralized finance

2. How to judge the main flow direction? Just use these 4 dimensions & First: On-chain data— where is the real money going?

Tools to use:

DeFiLlama tracks the chains/protocols with surging TVL (Total Value Locked)

Dune Analytics looks at active addresses, Gas fee data surging tracks

Lookonchain / Arkham observe whale and large holder adjustments

Towards

Recently, Solana's TVL has increased + trading volume of Jupiter/BONK and other chains has surged > indicating that capital is flowing back into the Solana ecosystem.

Second: Exchange heat— where is retail money going?

Tools to use:

CoinGecko 24h hot coin search

Binance hot search list / New coin list / Volatility list

Token Unlocks see which coins are about to unlock (whale pumping or unloading?)

$WIF and $BONK continuously topping the exchange rankings means retail is FOMOing into meme tracks.

3. My personal method for chasing hot topics (recommended to bookmark)

Execute the following actions daily; you can grasp sector dynamics in 10 minutes:

Morning; refresh the exchange hot list (as well as hot searches + CoinGecko trends)

Noon; check on-chain fund flows (DeFiLlama + Arkham)

Evening; summarize TVL data + project updates (Dune dashboard + project official website dynamics)

I will add key projects to the **'Hot Watchlist'**, keeping track in mind, preemptively lurking, and quick in and out.

Finally: I hope everyone becomes a trend rider, not a crowd follower. In a bull market, don't fear chasing highs, fear chasing too late without recognizing the main line. You need to be the one who identifies sector heat early and builds positions reasonably to take profits, instead of waiting until a coin has tripled to ask, 'Can I still buy this?' Hot sectors won't explode simultaneously, but will always rotate— as long as you grasp the rhythm of capital + narrative + sentiment, you can catch the juiciest segment.
