🪙 At the Quantum Bitcoin Summit, experts proposed ways to protect old bitcoins from potential quantum attacks

Participants believe that without urgent action, the crypto market could face serious risks. Around 25% of all BTC — including millions of Satoshi Nakamoto’s coins — might be at stake.

Jameson Lopp (Casa) suggested a BIP that includes these steps:

➖ Ban transfers to outdated addresses.

➖ After 5 years, fully block withdrawals from such addresses.

➖ Potentially “rescue” frozen coins carefully in the future.

💬 What do you think — is this necessary, or does it go against Bitcoin’s original principles?
