I was chasing pumps when I first got into cryptocurrency, purchasing arbitrary altcoins in the hopes of making 10× overnight. It was effective until it wasn't. I came to the realization that I needed structure after a few harsh lessons. I now divided my approach: Core holdings: long-term conviction plays, such as $BTC, $ETH, and $BNB.

Rotational alts: Determined by volume, narratives, and trends. Cash reserves: To maintain liquidity in times of decline. I also discovered that futures should not be used frequently but only when absolutely required. Capital allocation, risk management, and stop-losses took precedence over enthusiasm. The largest change? I put more of an emphasis on safeguarding what I've previously achieved than on making rapid cash.
