A sleeping whale has transferred 16,000 Bitcoins after 14 years!
A mysterious old whale from the Satoshi Nakamoto era, who holds approximately 80,009 BTC worth $9.46 billion, has moved a massive amount of Bitcoin after 14 years of inactivity. This move coincided with Bitcoin reaching a new all-time high of $123,100 and has sparked concerns about a potential sell-off.
Last night, the whale carried out two major transactions: one involving 9,000 BTC worth $1.06 billion and another with 7,843 BTC worth $927 million, both sent to addresses belonging to Galaxy Digital. Galaxy Digital then transferred 2,000 BTC to the Bybit and Binance exchanges, after which Bitcoin’s price dropped below $117,000.
