The British division of Standard Chartered Bank has launched a spot trading service $BTC and $ETH . This was reported in a comment to CoinDesk by the head of the bank's digital assets division, Rene Micho.
Trading is currently available during the active hours of European and Asian markets, but in the event of increased demand, the bank will consider the possibility of moving to a 24/5 mode, according to the statement.
It is known that the new service is integrated into the existing tools for currency trading at the bank. Clients can operate through familiar interfaces, and settlements can be made through a custodian of choice — including the bank's internal service.
Currently, only spot trading of Bitcoin and Ethereum is available, but in the future, Standard Chartered plans to expand the range of instruments, according to the announcement.
