Lagrange points are positions in space where the gravitational forces of two large bodies, like the Earth and the Sun, create stable regions for a smaller object to remain fixed relative to the two bodies. There are five such points, labeled L1 to L5. L1, L2, and L3 lie along the line connecting the two main bodies, while L4 and L5 form equilateral triangles with them and are stable. These points are ideal for placing satellites, space telescopes, or observatories. For example, the James Webb Space Telescope is positioned at L2, enabling a stable, clear view of deep space.
