A member of Broad Street Church of Christ, identified as Howard Lester, is accused of embezzling over $50,000 from the church and funneling funds into his wife’s business, Flooring on Commerce. The LaGrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is seeking tips from the public.
2. Woman killed in dog attack; suspect wanted
On July 11, at the intersection of Swanson St. and Juniper St., an elderly woman named Theresa Patterson was fatally attacked by two pit bulls. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the dog owner, Derrick Parker, charging him with involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, and permitting the dogs to run at large. Parker remains at large as of July 15.
