(CEO Yeong Su Ko), a LINE enterprise engaged in the development and expansion of the global Web3 ecosystem. Through this partnership, METABORA will distribute Web3 games via a Dapp portal based on LINE Messenger, expanding its presence in the Web3 gaming space.
The Dapp portal is a platform based on the KAIA ecosystem that offers Mini Dapps (decentralized applications) directly within the LINE Messenger app. Users can utilize various Mini Dapps — from games to social functions — without the need to install separate applications. Since its launch in January of this year, the platform has attracted significant attention, surpassing a total user count of 100 million.
Thanks to the new partnership, METABORA and LINE NEXT will work closely together to accelerate the growth of the Mini Dapp gaming ecosystem. Utilizing its network of development partners and global experience in game development and publishing, METABORA will supply Web3 games to the Dapp portal. LINE NEXT will expand access to Web3 games and support their promotion through its platform.
As part of the collaboration, METABORA will also expand the use of the BORA token within the Mini Dapp ecosystem based on LINE Messenger. The company plans to implement a payment infrastructure that will allow users to purchase in-game items scheduled for release in future BORA-branded games. Additionally, METABORA will use Gas Abstraction technology, allowing users to make in-game purchases with BORA without the need to use KAIA tokens to pay for gas. This feature is expected to be fully implemented in the second half of the year.
By expanding the capabilities of the BORA token, METABORA aims to increase its value beyond the BORA blockchain, laying the groundwork for broader integration within the Web3 ecosystem.
