Bitcoin is, so far, the crypto currency with the highest chances of being 'eternal'. It was the first cryptocurrency created (in 2009) and has consolidated as a digital store of value, often compared to gold. Its network is decentralized, secure, and resistant to censorship. Despite price fluctuations and the competition from thousands of new projects, Bitcoin maintains its relevance thanks to its global adoption, its scarcity (there will only be 21 million), and its institutional acceptance. While other cryptos come and go, Bitcoin remains the benchmark of the ecosystem. As long as the Internet and digital freedom exist, Bitcoin has reasons to continue existing. Its legacy and influence make it hard to replace.
