🇯🇵 A new internet speed record has been set in Japan for upgraded fiber optics – 1.02 petabits per second.
This speed is sufficient to download all Netflix movies and series in one second, or to make a copy of Wikipedia about 10,000 times in the same period.
For comparison, the standard internet speed in Ukrainian homes is up to 1 gigabit, which is a million times slower than the new record. The technology is currently being tested only in the country's laboratories.
