Editor’s Note: Ethereum has officially broken through the $3000 mark, leading altcoins and related concept stocks to rise together, with more and more U.S. companies and mining companies turning to purchase Ethereum as a strategic reserve.

At this critical juncture, the Ethereum Foundation is undergoing another team structure adjustment. New teams are being formed, EcoDev and others, to accelerate the development of the ecosystem.

This time, will Ethereum get better?

The following is the original content (for better understanding, the original content has been reorganized):

Ethereum stands at a critical turning point.

Users interested in Ethereum have expanded from tech enthusiasts and professionals to businesses, governments, and ordinary users seeking practical solutions and tangible benefits.

The Ethereum ecosystem is actively adapting to these new needs, and the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is ready to take on the corresponding role in supporting the ecosystem's development.

As described in the foundation's recent vision release, the foundation has two core goals:

· Enabling more people (both directly and indirectly) to use Ethereum and ensuring they can benefit from the core values of Ethereum.

· Maximizing Ethereum's resilience in technology and community.

The Ecosystem Development (EcoDev) team will promote the realization of these goals at both ecosystem and societal levels, focusing on removing barriers to Ethereum’s real-world applications and helping new users integrate into the Ethereum ecosystem.

EcoDev will also support Ethereum communities around the world, providing grants. While guiding the ecosystem's expansion, it will maintain a high level of resilience and a human-centered mission.

To better achieve these goals, the foundation is expanding and restructuring EcoDev, focusing on accelerating ecosystem construction in the following four key areas.

Ecosystem Acceleration

We hope to collaborate closely with developers, founders, application teams, and enterprises using Ethereum to accelerate the ecosystem's development.

To this end, we will form four new teams, each responsible for the following key directions:

· Corporate Relations: Providing clear resources and customized guidance to help companies adopt Ethereum technology more smoothly.

· Developer Growth: Engaging, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of developers on Ethereum.

· Application Relationships and Research: Accelerating meaningful, user-facing Ethereum applications.

· Entrepreneur Support: Providing other support beyond funding, including feedback, resource matching, operational expertise, and mentorship to help entrepreneurs succeed.

These teams will consist of original foundation members who have long been engaged in this field (such as Austin Griffith from the Developer Growth department) and new hires, to expand Ethereum's technology and capabilities.

The core of EcoDev's acceleration work lies in closely collaborating with existing networks and community members. Ethereum has a rich ecosystem composed of individuals and organizations, where participants play important roles in supporting entrepreneurs, developers, applications, and businesses, including Layer 2 projects, accelerators, community events, hackathon organizers, investors, and educators.

Ecosystem Enhancement

Other teams will also help enhance the impact of ecosystem acceleration work and community EcoDev efforts. These teams will help us gain deeper insights and continuously track the growth of the ecosystem, organize targeted activities to support strategic priorities, share Ethereum's story through media, and leverage new tools and AI to strengthen all our efforts.

In addition to the brand new EcoDev automation team, other teams have been optimized and upgraded from existing foundation teams. Specifically, they include:

· Digital Media Studio (formerly the ethereum.org team): As the core engine of innovation and storytelling, responsible for creating rich, engaging articles, videos, publications, and unique visual content that fully showcase Ethereum’s potential. Ethereum.org will still be one of the many projects of this team.

· Strategic Events Team: Planning and organizing targeted events, ranging from small gatherings to short-term conferences focused on specific themes.

· 'Ethereum Everywhere' Team: Focusing on expanding support for local developer communities.

· EcoDev Automation Team: Optimizing internal operations through smart automation and AI-driven tools, improving team efficiency, and facilitating more effective goal achievement.

· Devcon/nect Team: Will continue to operate independently, focusing on hosting large annual events like Devcon and Devconnect for the Ethereum ecosystem, directly led by the management team and not incorporated into the new EcoDev structure.

Ecosystem Support

We will continue to maintain three teams dedicated to coordinating the funding support needed for various plans in the Ethereum ecosystem, while continually expanding non-funding support:

· ESP/Grant Support Team: Our grants program will undergo significant adjustments, focusing on more targeted applications and non-funding support. This team will assist other foundation teams in advancing grant projects, participate in the review of some grant applications, and maintain relationships with grantees.

· Strategic Funding Program: Co-funding with key public goods organizations to create value for the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

· Launchpad Team: Assisting in addressing challenges related to operational design, sustainable funding, governance, and more. The Launchpad team supports the foundation's derivative projects, grantees, or other ecosystem organizations, helping them overcome developmental challenges.

Ecosystem Expansion

We will continue to advance several long-term efforts aimed at removing barriers to Ethereum adoption globally. These efforts are divided into the following directions:

· Policy Coordination: Closely monitoring global issues related to the Ethereum ecosystem, identifying risks and opportunities where the foundation can provide support, and collaborating with global policy bodies to promote positive outcomes for Ethereum.

· Institutional Liaison: Establishing long-term stable partnerships with government and non-government organizations.

· Academic Collaboration: Promoting collaboration with universities, professors, and students to jointly advance blockchain technology.

Collaborative Efforts Across the Ecosystem

As Ethereum continues to grow, the entire ecosystem requires more effort and support to guide its development. We are excited to contribute in new ways, but we are not alone. We have closely collaborated with a broader ecosystem: including various organizations, companies, startups, event organizers, community members, investors, developers, and numerous partners driving Ethereum's progress. If you are interested in collaborating with us, please contact James Smith!

The Ethereum ecosystem is constantly evolving, which means our ecosystem development strategies will also continue to adjust. We will continuously ask: In which areas do we need to step up to accomplish tasks that no one else can? We will also continue to assist other participants in enhancing their influence within the ecosystem, making the Ethereum ecosystem more resilient over time.
