Deep Tide TechFlow News, on July 11, Tether announced that it will stop redeeming USD₮ on five traditional blockchains: Omni Layer, Bitcoin Cash SLP, Kusama, EOS, and Algorand, starting from September 1, 2025.

This decision is a strategic move by Tether to optimize its infrastructure, aiming to reallocate resources to blockchain platforms with higher scalability, development activity, and community engagement. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that this move will enable the company to focus on driving the next wave of adoption for stablecoin platforms.
