United Arab Emirates invest 100 million in World Liberty Finance of the Trump family
An investment fund from the United Arab Emirates, the Aqua 1 Foundation, has purchased 100 million dollars in WLFI tokens, the governance cryptocurrency of World Liberty Financial, the crypto project associated with the Trump family. This investment positions Aqua 1 as the largest known public investor in the initiative.
In a joint statement with World Liberty Financial, the Emirati fund explained that the purchase aims to "accelerate the creation of a blockchain-based financial ecosystem." The operation represents a significant international endorsement for the project of the family of the current American president.
The investment marks a turning point in the growth of the project, consolidating economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Trump administration. Aqua 1 represents the second Middle Eastern investor to fund this decentralized finance platform, highlighting the region's growing interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
The investment underscores the strategic importance of economic relations between the United States and the Emirates in the emerging technologies sector.
