BNB (Binance Coin) is the native cryptocurrency of the Binance ecosystem, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. Launched in 2017, BNB was initially created as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum but later migrated to Binance’s own blockchain, BNB Chain. It is used to pay for trading fees on Binance at a discounted rate, participate in token sales, and power decentralized applications (dApps) on the BNB Chain. BNB also undergoes regular token burns, reducing supply and potentially increasing value over time.
