I think I just did my first AI onboarding.
Back in my hometown, visited a friend.
He’s a lifeguard.
Tried to onboard him into crypto for 5 years… never really clicked.
Now he’s 36, in a work “crisis”, wondering what’s next.
I don’t know much about his field, but I asked if he’d tried using AI to explore options.
He hadn’t.
I handed him my phone with ChatGPT open.
He spent 20 minutes completely immersed. I had 3 medialunas and 5 mates in silence, just attending to the moment.
Then he looked up and said, shyly:
“Can you send me all that, please?”
His mood shifted.
He started talking about more concrete options / clearer scenarios to choose from.
And I kept thinking thinking thinking
maybe in a few years he’ll remember this random afternoon,
the first time he chatted with ChatGPT in this interface.
Because it will change.
Just like wallets did.
Just like the internet itself did.
Do you remember Electrum wallet on desktop? Jaxx Liberty?
I remember my first Coinomi.
The ritual of saving those 12 words, feeling like I was entering a new paradigm one that demanded autonomy and being my own bank.
Now I recommend smart wallets to newcomers.
One day, this screen will look old.
Everything’s going to be okay ☀️
