Ripple has always been a topic that attracts attention with many mysteries and differing opinions. Recently, Edward Farina, the founder of Alpha Lions Academy, made a shocking statement, claiming that the deep origins of Ripple relate to old brands and connections with U.S. intelligence organizations. Some notable names and timelines are raising questions, and the missing piece could be Ryan Fugger, the early founder of Ripple.

The name ripple

At the center of this statement is Ryan Fugger, the first person to initiate the idea of Ripple. Fugger once shared that the name 'Ripple' was inspired by a song from the band Grateful Dead. However, Farina believes there is much more to it.

He pointed out that a company named Ripple Communications was established in 1991, many years before the concept of cryptocurrency became popular.

In 2005, the same year that the U.S. intelligence network INSA was reorganized, three interesting domains appeared under the same IP address: Ripplecom, RipplePay, and OpenCoin. OpenCoin later became Ripple Labs, the brand we know today.

Notably, at that time, Karen Nussle was working for Ripple Communications. More interestingly, she is also recognized as a key contact at INSA, a U.S. National Intelligence and Security Alliance, connecting private contractors with the country's intelligence agencies.

The involved figures

Farina continues to highlight the issue by pointing out names associated with both Ripple and U.S. intelligence organizations. Suzanne Wilson Heckenberg also appears in this picture. She held several important positions at INSA but worked at Ripple Communications from 2010 to 2012.

As soon as she left the company, Jed McCaleb acquired the domain ripple.com and the old trademark. Subsequently, Ripple Communications disappeared, but Ripple Labs quickly took its place.

So what is the truth?

All attention now focuses on Fugger, who played a crucial role in the formation of RipplePay. He gradually stepped back from the spotlight as Ripple grew into a billion-dollar company. The reason for his departure, along with Ripple still retaining trademarks from a telecommunications company from 1991, continues to raise many theories.

Perhaps Ripple is simply a payment company. Or perhaps, as some speculate, it contains something deeper, right in front of our eyes.
