🚀 13-Year-Old $BTC Casascius Bar Finally Moves to Digital Wallet
A crypto enthusiast who purchased a 100-$BTC Casascius physical bar back in 2012 has finally transferred the funds to a digital wallet. The owner cited safety concerns rather than sudden wealth as the main reason for the move.
"This was more about staying safe than suddenly getting rich," they explained. Casascius bars, created by Mike Caldwell, were physical Bitcoin wallets containing private keys embedded under holograms.
The transfer marks the end of an era for one of the earliest forms of cold storage. Many collectors still hold onto these rare items, but security risks have prompted some to cash in.
