PANews reported on July 7 that Spanish banking giant BBVA announced the launch of Bitcoin and Ethereum trading and custody services for local retail clients, allowing users to operate directly through the bank's mobile app. This service complies with the EU (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) (MiCA) and marks BBVA's third country globally to offer cryptocurrency services, following Switzerland and Turkey.
According to previous news, Spanish bank BBVA has advised wealthy clients to invest in Bitcoin.
