According to data from the third-party tracking platform Bitcointreasuries.net, the publicly traded company holding the most Bitcoin globally is Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), with as much as 597,325 Bitcoins.

According to the quarterly report released last week, Metaplanet's Bitcoin-centric business revenue has grown strongly, with nearly 1.1 billion yen (7.6 million USD) in revenue for the second quarter this year, an increase of 42.4% compared to the same period last year.

Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich posted on social platform X:

This accelerating growth is the best proof of our strategic robustness — we are committed to building a sustainable, scalable, and efficient business based on Bitcoin.

It is worth noting that Metaplanet announced last month an increase in its long-term goal, aiming to hold over 210,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2027.

However, even though Metaplanet continues to expand its Bitcoin holdings, its stock price has shown slight pressure in the short term. According to Yahoo Finance data, as of 2:10 PM on Monday (Japan time), Metaplanet's stock price fell 1.8% during the day, but has risen 13.9% in the past month, and has soared over 339% since the beginning of the year.
