On July 6, 2025, the TON Foundation announced a program that allows obtaining a 10-year 'golden visa' from the UAE through staking Toncoin ($TON). To participate, it is necessary to freeze $100,000 in TON tokens for three years and pay a one-time fee of $35,000. According to TON, the program simplifies the process compared to traditional requirements, which demand real estate investments starting from $540,000. The visa extends to the applicant's family, and the funds remain under the owner's control with a yield of 3-4% per annum.
Against the backdrop of the announcement, the price of Toncoin rose by 12%, reaching $2.98, although it later adjusted to $2.91. However, on July 7, the UAE authorities denied the partnership with TON, calling the information fake. This provoked criticism in the crypto community, particularly from Changpeng Zhao, who expressed doubts about the legitimacy of the program.
Despite the denial, the TON initiative has sparked interest in cryptocurrencies as a means of obtaining residency. Investors are advised to check official sources to avoid fraud. Stay updated on the world of cryptocurrencies and learn first about new opportunities!
