China says it values Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's commitment against development of nuclear weapons, besides respecting Iran's right to pursue peaceful nuclear energy.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks during a joint press conference with French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot in Paris on Friday.
The Chinese official noted how Ayatollah Khamenei had repeated the Islamic Republic's firm commitment in this regard on multiple occasions.
The Leader has issued a fatwa categorically prohibiting either pursuance, development or stockpiling of such non-conventional weapons on moral and religious grounds.
