Musk broke with Trump after strongly disagreeing with the bill that, according to him, would increase the public deficit by trillions of dollars.

He stated that the US lives under a “one-party system disguised as two parties” and that the new party would be a way to “return freedom to the people.”

The decision was reinforced by a poll conducted by Musk on the social network X (formerly Twitter), where 65% of more than 1.2 million voters supported the creation of a new party.
