A classmate of mine took out online loans for gambling in 2014-2015 and owed more than 600,000 yuan. He went to northern Myanmar to engage in fraud and paid off the loan in two or three years before returning to China.

After he came back, he told us that there was no fraud in northern Myanmar at that time. If they cheated people, they would get the commission. If they didn't, they would be provided with food and accommodation and would not be beaten.

But when he was about to leave, his style suddenly changed. It was not long after he paid off his loan. He originally planned to save hundreds of thousands of yuan for another two years to buy a house. As a result, things became more and more wrong. The commission began to be paid less and less. When he told his online boss that he wanted to return to China, he basically stopped paying him. In the end, he still had more than 200,000 yuan left, so he ran away.

He was very glad for his choice. If he had delayed for another half a year, he might not have been able to leave, let alone make money. Since 2018-2019, northern Myanmar has really become a den of demons. People who used to be there are completely useless. They either died rather than surrendered, or started working for free until they died.

They used to get commissions according to the proportion of people they cheated, and they could also send money back to China. Later, they were lucky to have food to eat after cheating people, not to mention money. They were completely imprisoned slaves. Those who couldn't cheat were beaten and had to do hard labor such as cleaning toilets. If they were unlucky, they would be killed directly. Women would also be raped. Moreover, the country paid attention to it later. Even some small-scale electronic fraud parks that still paid money could not send money back to China. The money sent back to China from that area was directly frozen.
