What does PNL mean on Binance?
And why you should understand it today.
If you're just starting in the crypto world, there's an acronym you'll see often: PNL.
It stands for "Profit and Loss."
But don't worry, I'll explain it simply:
Unrealized PNL:
It's the profit (or loss) you have while a trade is still open.
Example: you bought ETH at 3,000 and now it’s worth 3,500. You have an unrealized gain of 500.
But if you haven't sold, that gain is not yours yet.
Realized PNL:
When you sell, that profit or loss becomes real.
If you sell at 3,500, your realized PNL will be +500.
And today's PNL?
It's the sum of all the profits or losses obtained only on the current day.
🟢 If it's in green: you made a profit.
🔴 If it's in red: you lost (temporary or realized).
It updates in real-time and is very useful to know how you're doing today.
Knowing how to read your PNL helps you make better decisions, cut losses, or take profits on time.
It's not just about “winning or losing,” but understanding your movements.
