More than 26 Thousand New Bitcoin Millionaires Born in the First Quarter of 2025
The number of Bitcoin addresses holding assets worth more than one million dollars surged sharply in the first half of 2025. According to the Finbold H1 2025 crypto market report, the number of Bitcoin millionaire wallets increased from 155,569 at the beginning of the year to 182,327 by the end of June, adding 26,758 new addresses.
This movement shows an interesting pattern, where the first quarter actually experienced a decrease in the number of Bitcoin (BTC) millionaires by 13,942 addresses. However, in the second quarter, there was a significant resurgence with the addition of 21,589 millionaire addresses, including a spike in addresses valued over 10 million dollars.
The increase in the number of high-value wallets was driven by strong buying activity during the early market downturn, as well as rising institutional demand following the launch of the Bitcoin spot Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) in the United States.
Additionally, the Bitcoin halving event in April 2025, which reduced the block reward by half, further strengthened bullish sentiment.
Although one wallet address does not always represent one individual as several entities can control multiple addresses, the increase of over 26,000 Bitcoin millionaires in six months marks the strongest accumulation cycle since the bull run
