Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has donated $10 million in BNB to support an open-source biotech initiative led by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
The project focuses on decentralized research in biotech and medicine — from gene therapy to drug development — all without the involvement of corporations or closed foundations.
According to CZ, he contributed simply because he believes in the mission. Notably, Vitalik’s biotech efforts have previously attracted investment from YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs).
