What Ethereum needs most right now is a strong leader. Unlike Bitcoin's digital gold value storage, Ethereum's entire value system is built on applications, and it needs to be continuously iterated and advanced before the infrastructure matures comprehensively.

Currently, the fragmented state of L2 has already affected the positive cycle of the internal ecosystem, impacting ETH prices and, in turn, the security capabilities of the Ethereum ecosystem. Although there are too many conflicting interests involved, it is time to make a decision. We cannot prioritize L1 expansion (which is also very important) just because the interests surrounding L2 are too complex to navigate.

What the Ethereum ecosystem urgently needs now is a decisive and visionary leader, rather than the mindless promoters of Ethereum among Western KOLs, and not even the technical experts who are actually doing the work (the Ethereum ecosystem is not lacking such researchers). "This leader," whoever it may be, perhaps Vitalik or someone else, needs to regain control of L2 back to L1, or else let these L2s leave the Ethereum ecosystem. Currently, L2 is not too large, but if it grows significantly in the future, it will impact the foundation of Ethereum. As institutions massively go on-chain with L2, this problem will only worsen.

The priority of integrating L2 into Ethereum is far greater than that of L1 expansion.
