The address of Satoshi Nakamoto received $20,000 from an unknown user
According to on-chain data from the analytical platform Arkham Intelligence, an unknown user sent 0.185 BTC (approximately $20,000 at the time of the transfer) to an address presumably belonging to Bitcoin's founder Satoshi Nakamoto. Currently, his wallet holds $117 billion in BTC.
Arkham analysts suggested that the transaction could have been either a coincidence or a withdrawal of funds from an exchange or another cryptocurrency-related service. It could also have been a generous expression of gratitude from one of the early Bitcoiners, they believe.
It is worth noting that this is the second-largest transfer to the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto address since an unknown Binance user transferred about $200,000 in bitcoins to this address in February 2025.
At the time of publication, the flagship cryptocurrency was showing a slight decline within the cycle. Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin has decreased by 1.2% and is currently trading at $106,500. The market capitalization of BTC remains approximately $2.12 trillion, and the daily trading volume is around $22.3 billion.
