A community is a group of people gathered around a common goal. For a meme project, this means promoting, holding, and spreading it to enhance its influence.
What is construction?
Any actions that make the community stronger and more cohesive are considered construction:
• Holding: Buying and selling both count, contributing to trading volume.
• Spreading: Promoting, participating in Spaces, creating merchandise, producing content, etc.
• Planning: Organizing events, boosting the atmosphere, making the community more active.
These tasks are easy in the short term, but the challenge is to persist for a year, two years, or even longer. The true spirit of community lies in long-term investment, not temporary enthusiasm.
Types of Communities
• Short-term community: Active during price increases, disappears or complains during declines.
• Fake community: Relies on hiring people to create hype, members lack a true sense of belonging.
• Long-term community: Has a stable core, leaders guide positively, and members contribute voluntarily, maintaining construction even during downturns.
How to judge a good community?
1. Look at the leaders: Are they guiding positively instead of leading opposition?
2. Look at the culture: During downturns, are there people comforting newcomers instead of just shouting 'pump it, hundred times'?
A truly strong community builds through action, not through boasting slogans.
