BlackRock Eyes Expansion of Crypto ETFs Beyond $BTC & $ETH
BlackRock—the world’s largest asset manager with $11.7 trillion AUM—is evaluating adding new cryptocurrency ETFs to its lineup after its iShares Bitcoin Trust became the fastest-growing ETF ever (now $70 billion AUM) and its ETH fund hit $4 billion. Potential candidates include Cardano, Polkadot, and Solana, following similar SEC filings by other issuers. BlackRock is also exploring tokenisation strategies, recently launching a $3 billion tokenised money-market fund, aiming to bridge traditional and decentralized finance.
