Web3 Aqua 1 Fund invests 100 million USD in the WLFI project related to the family #TRUMP
The Web3 Aqua 1 investment fund based in the UAE has just announced a 100 million USD investment in the World Liberty Financial (WLFI) project – a DeFi protocol focused on tokenizing real assets and building institutional-grade decentralized financial infrastructure.
WLFI is said to be closely linked to the family of former President Donald Trump, raising concerns about conflicts of interest between politics and finance. Zak Folkman, co-founder of WLFI, emphasized that the relationship with Aqua 1 will drive the mission of global financial innovation. WLFI will also support the establishment of the Aqua Fund in the UAE, focusing on blockchain, AI, and Web3.
Notably, Justin Sun, the founder of $TRX , has invested an additional 75 million USD in WLFI and is now the largest token holder. He is also involved in the advisory board and has previously appeared at a private dinner with Mr. Trump regarding $TRUMP (#MEME coin).
Observers believe that this deal will put WLFI under the spotlight, as cryptocurrencies increasingly penetrate global power structures.
