🔓 Step 5: Unstaking Your WCT (After Lock Ends)
📌 Important Rules:
You can only unstake after your lock period expires.
Partial unstaking is not allowed — you must unstake the entire locked position.
There is a 7-day unbonding period after you unstake.
🪜 Steps to Unstake WCT:
1. Wait for your lock to expire
You’ll see the “Unlock available” status on the staking page.
2. Go to https://walletconnect.com/staking
3. Connect your MetaMask wallet (Optimism network).
4. Click “Unstake”
This will open a MetaMask transaction.
Confirm the transaction and pay the small gas fee.
5. Wait 7 days (Unbonding Period)
During this time, your tokens are not staked, but also not yet available.
After 7 days, you’ll be able to withdraw them to your wallet.
6. Withdraw your WCT
Return to the staking page.
Click “Withdraw” once the 7-day period is over.
✅ Done! Your WCT is now fully unstaked and back in your wallet.
