A whale that purchased a large amount of coins in Ethereum's (ETH) pre-sale broke a four-month silence by sending 5,000 ETH (approximately $12.1 million) to the Kraken exchange, creating activity in the market.

According to data shared by the blockchain analysis platform Spot On Chain, this whale, which participated in the Ethereum ICO (Initial Coin Offering), became active again after a long period of silence. The average cost of the 5,000 Ethereum (ETH) transferred to the Kraken exchange by the whale was calculated to be $2,424.

The investor in question had purchased a total of 107,000 ETH during Ethereum's pre-sale in 2016. When the whale made this purchase, the unit price of Ethereum was only around $13. The last transaction from the same address occurred on February 14, with the sale of 6,671 ETH at an average of $2,710, yielding the whale approximately $18.1 million in revenue. Since that date, the whale's wallet had remained completely inactive for four months.
