🥳The state of Arizona has just passed bill HB2324, allowing the establishment of a reserve fund for assets seized from criminal activities – including digital assets such as Bitcoin.
🔹 If signed by Governor Katie Hobbs, this will be the second crypto-related reserve law in the state.
🔹 Previously, she vetoed two "Bitcoin Reserve" bills (SB1373 & SB1025) that allowed the state to directly invest in crypto.
🔹 However, she signed HB2749, which allows the establishment of a reserve fund for unclaimed assets.
👉 HB2324 is special in that: Seized crypto assets will be kept in the state treasury instead of being sold or liquidated.
Arizona is gradually adapting to digital assets – albeit slowly but surely.
