In Texas, the Jasper County Sheriff opened a Bitcoin ATM with a warrant to return $25,000 to a family that they had transferred to scammers.

The scammers pretended to be government employees and forced them to send a “fine” in cryptocurrency. $32,000 was seized from the ATM — including the entire stolen amount.
