Scam activity in crypto is rising fast โ and now top names are being impersonated or attacked, putting users at serious risk. Here's what happened:
โ ๏ธ Fake Henrik Zeberg Account Exposed
Renowned macroeconomist Henrik Zeberg issued a scam warning after discovering a fake X (Twitter) account impersonating him.
The scammer made an almost identical profile, changing just one character in the handle to trick users. Zeberg warned:
โAnother scammer! If youโre following it, unfollow now!โ
๐ Even worse: the scammer accused Zeberg of being the fake one.
But the real Zeberg has over 177K followers, while the fake has under 1,000 โ a major red flag.
