Cryptocurrency exchange #Binance has added a feature for tracking Locked Addresses and a Concentration Indicator. The new tools will help traders make more informed decisions when trading crypto assets.
The features are available in the 'Information' tab on the token page in the web version of the exchange and in the mobile app. The data is updated in real time.
Locked Addresses helps understand what portion of a project's tokens is locked for a certain period (vesting period). To get detailed information about the addresses, hover over the 'Circulating Supply' indicator.
The 'Concentration' indicator shows the level of token distribution among holders. The system uses a weighted formula that takes into account the concentration both on Binance and off it, and gives a score from 0 to 100.
A high rating indicates a significant likelihood of volatility, as the actions of major players can significantly impact the asset's price. A low rating indicates a wider distribution and potentially lower volatility risk.
"Users need greater transparency and tools to better understand the tokens they are trading. Binance is not only disclosing more information about projects—we are setting new standards for market transparency," said exchange co-founder Yi He.
Previously, Binance integrated CoinMarketCap data to display the token unlock schedule, as well as implemented access to project financial reports.
