FAILURE OF $XRP ?

🚨 At the Digital Banking 2025 conference, held on June 3 in Mexico City, BitGo's CEO, Mike Belshe, dropped a bombshell by stating that Ripple has failed in its original mission with XRP. According to him, the launch of the new stablecoin RLUSD demonstrates that Ripple no longer trusts XRP as the best tool for international payments.

💬 "Dollar stablecoins are simply better," he said, arguing that they eliminate the intermediate step of conversion that XRP still needs.

This sparked a debate in the crypto community. Some agree that stablecoins are gaining ground, while others defend that XRP and RLUSD can coexist and serve different needs.

📉 In the market, the impact was slight but immediate: XRP fell about 3.5% following the statement, although it managed to partially recover in the following hours.

Ripple responded quickly. Its CTO, David Schwartz, clarified that RLUSD does not replace XRP, but rather both are designed to work together. XRP remains key as a bridge asset, while RLUSD offers stability for certain use cases.

🌐 In summary, more than a failure, this could be a strategic evolution. Ripple is building a more robust ecosystem, and although the criticisms hurt, they also push for innovation.

What do you think? Does this strengthen or weaken Ripple's future? 🚀💸
