Kazakhstan has taken a bold step towards digital sovereignty with the launch of the Kazakhstan Solana Economic Zone (SEZ KZ), the first of its kind in Central Asia.

This initiative, supported by the Solana Foundation, positions the country as a leader in blockchain innovation and Web3.

The SEZ KZ will act as a "sandbox" for emerging projects, promoting the tokenization of assets and training talent in Rust programming. The government aims to attract international startups and is already exploring the use of cryptocurrencies for everyday payments with its "CryptoCity" project. With support for mining and increasing trading volume, Kazakhstan is consolidating its position as a key crypto hub in the region.
