💥BRICS Boosts Trade in National Currencies

The upcoming BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, from July 6 to 7, 2025, will focus on boosting trade in national currencies. Although the creation of a common BRICS currency remains a "very early" discussion due to the complexity of harmonizing monetary policies, the priority is to strengthen local currency agreements.

Diplomats like Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov emphasize that BRICS is not an anti-Western coalition, but a platform for multipolar cooperation and practical solutions. With new members like Egypt and Indonesia, the bloc aims to reform global institutions and promote consensus-based cooperation, reflecting the growing weight of the Global South in global governance.
